Great Price for the great product
I have been purchasing this product from asian markets until recently I found out Amazon carried it at a much better price. These are the best organic noodles on the market, my kids love them. I hope Amazon continues carrying it (I tried to purchase more, but only two left at the time of purchase).

    Great basic asian style noodles
These are a great basic noodle at a great price. We used to get a similar noodle at Trader Joe’s (their own brand) but they seem to have stopped doing them. These seem to be so similar (even the packaging is VERY similar) that I think they might actually be the same. I am not a noodle enthusiast so there may be some subtlety that I am missing, but they work for me!

Nice tasting rice, just a little $$
American rice… very nice taste and cooks well in a rice cooker. Supports the American economy and the price reflects it… but I try to buy American when I can. Lots of plastic, for not so much rice, but you can reuse/recycle the containers.

    Texmati
I sometimes do like sticky and soft rice which is the case for this rice and it is flavorful. But to call it LONG GRAIN AMERICAN BASMATI is only accurate for the AMERICAN part. This rice is nothing like any kind of Basmati by any strech of imagination.

    My preferred rice
I grew up in Texas and live in Houston. Texmati is *the* rice. We have been buying it since the late 80s. It is very hard to cook wrong, does well sitting out or refrigerated, and is sturdy enough to mix with most any combination of spices. It is not overly starchy, so is poor for sticky rice uses, but is wonderful otherwise. Very recommended.

Also, I have never gotten a bad batch, or one with stones, sticks, or unidentified dark bits in it (which sometimes happens with bulk rice). Quality control is excellent.

    Great Rice
Great flavor rice … ever since I found TexMati and RiceSelect brand, no other rice will do.

    best rice ever
A friend gave me a container of this rice and I fell in love. It is the best rice I have ever eaten. It cooks up so easily-never sticky. And the smell is heavenly. The grocery stores in my area sell it but it is actually cheaper from Amazon. Once I got hooked on Basmati rice I tried other brands just to see if I could find one I liked that was cheaper but they all failed. I will just stick with Texmati.

    Intriguing Grain
I finally bought this Quinoa, and it is really good. It is versatile; depending on how you season it depends on how it turns out. For example, it can be seasoned with lemon, pepper, garlic, basil, etc. It can also be seasoned with brown sugar.

I am not going to write a long review; the grain itself is versatile enough to make it just about any way you want. And it’s easy to prepare. And it’s healthful (I’ll get into that in the next paragraph).

From what I’d heard about the grain, it is “old”, “strong”, “healthy, “wise” (even has built up a coating that is a resistance to insects). This grain intrigues me; I plan to look up its history.

Quinoa (which I recently found out) is what dieticians call a “complete protein”. Other than meat products, there aren’t a lot of “complete proteins” that I know of, other than soy. I do not eat soy. So I thought I’d give this product a try.

    Great Quinoa!
We love quinoa and use it many ways in our culinary selections. We’ve had quinoa from various sources, and while it is all nutritious, I’m sure, Eden Quinoa is really superb. It is well packaged, competitively priced, and very tasty. We’ll be buying more as soon as our supply begins to dwindle, which won’t be too long.

    Best Price Quinoa
This stuff is SO good for ya, and tastes really great. Amazon has the Best Price I have seen so far, AND the shipping is free if you order $25. Good quality.

    BUY EDEN!
First of all, quinoa is a great and versatile grain. If you are looking at this grain, you know how nutritious it is. Aside from that, it goes well as a rice type grain as well as a porridge or oatmeal type grain. I have had no problem with the rinsing, one rinse does fine. I will warn you though, this quinoa requires a strainer with VERY small holes. If you have that it is a piece of cake to make. Only 15 minutes, which is extremely quick for a whole grain. It is particularly good with cinnamon, cloves, and Edensoy. As far as the Eden brand, this is the company you can be happy supporting. Essentially all of Eden products are sourced from family farms in the United States. This isn’t the case for quinoa, but other products such as Edensoy and their beans are all USA family farm grown. Unlike conventional products and big organic products, Eden cares about where the food comes from, how it is prepared and how it is shipped. They are the ideal small organic agricultural company to support.

    Quinoa
Quinoa is very healthy and deliscious. Eden quinoa is especially tasty. Can be prepared like risce or couscous.

    A great quick meal.
If you want a quick snack that does not put you into a food coma, this ramen is the answer. It tastes good and gets me by.

    Stale and annoyingly salty
These noodles took a long time to arrive, and I was surprised to discover that they were made in the USA. My surprise because they tasted awfully stale to the max and the flavor packet was pure salt no flavor what so ever. The stale taste stays in your mouth for the rest of the day as well. The packages did have an expiration date printed on them of June 12, 2009. I was very disappointed - I cannot really see myself purchasing these again

    Stick with Original Flavor.
I went on a limb and tried the Beef and Chicken flavors, boy what a mistake. I was introduced to the original flavor by my Korean GF and was amazed at how much better the quality was over any other ramen I had prior.

The discount at Amazon was such I decided to purchase the other two flavors above. The noodles are still great quality but the flavoring is horrid. I’ve since given the entire boxes to a friend that will eat anything. Even he commented the flavor wasn’t great.

Stick with the original and you’ll be much better off. At least that is my opinion.

    Better ramen
This ramen is better than the cheaper stuff you can get in your local grocery store. You get more noodles basically, which is nice. I wish someone would come out with an instant ramen noodles that had no MSG though.

I wouldn’t pay to have these shipped, but if you can add them to an existing order to get free shipping or if you have Amazon Prime, it’s probably worth a try.

    This ramen is freakin’ awesome.
Yes, you can buy the 10 cents/pack super cheap ramen, but this is more for a reason; it’s really good! Sapporo Ichiban has been my favorite ramen for many years. It has probably shortened my life by a decade (God only knows how they make something so cheap so good), but what a way to go!

The perfect rice for making sushi
Kokuho Rose is a variety of medium-grained rice developed and grown in California by Koda Farms. It is very similar to Japanese rice (japonica), which is short-grained and fat. Introduced to the American market in 1963, it is well-suited for Japanese cuisine because it’s very sticky and gelatinous, having the same taste and texture as Japanese rice. It is a very popular choice for making sushi because it is relatively easy to find and inexpensive.

To make sushi rice, the kernels have to be washed until the water is clear, then steamed. I use an electric rice cooker like Panasonic SRG06FG 3-Cup Automatic Rice Cooker, but you can get fancier ones that cost upwards of $100. Cooked perfectly, the grains are firm, slightly elastic and have a shiny, pearl-like luster.

You should be able to find this at your local Asian supermarket, as it is a widely distributed brand. Some bigger American supermarkets may also carry it. Another popular brand is Nishiki Premium Rice. These are the two major brands I use and recommend. If you can’t find either of these, a third brand is Botan Rice.

    very good!
I live in Japan (for now) and this is the rice that always sells out the most at our local store and I have to buy it in 20lb bags for my house but the price on here is high. But it is worth it.

    Yummy!
This is great rice - I cook this in my rice cooker ALL the time to go with my chicken curry. BUT…..$13 is WAY overpriced. You can get this in most local grocery stores (like Giant and Shoppers) for less than $7 for a 5lb bag.

    Sushi Rice
I was glad to find a 5 lb. bag of this rice. It’s wonderful. I also found it at my local Costco at a much cheaper price per pound, but you have to buy the entire 25 pound bag, which is not practical for an individual! Very good!

    Great for Sushi
This was recommended on a Sushi making site and I can see why. The difference in the Sushi from last time to this time was tremendous, and the only difference was the rice that I used.

Excellent flavor and easy to use!
I love these convenient boxes of sushi wraps, so I was eager to try the brown sprouted rice after eating the white rice ones the last couple of years. The brown rice did not disappoint! I actually buy these for my 6 year old who loves to make sushi rolls. It’s a great size for 2 kids and it’s super easy to use since the rice is nice and sticky. The only thing I don’t like is reheating in the plastic container that it comes in, but we just take it out and place a moist towel over it and heat it that way. The flavor of the nori is excellent as well and the kids beg to eat it all of the time. These are not carried at our local Whole Foods so I buy them by the case here on amazon so we are never without.

    Handle with care during shipping
    Quinoa is good, no complaints.

Amazon shipped a bag that had two holes on side. After closely observing the package it seemed like the bag was mishandled while placing in the carton. This is expensive food ~$3 /lb and I expect Amazon employees are more careful next time.

    Healthy
Quinoa is a concentrated complex carbohydrate, meaning you only need a quarter cup for 29 grams of carbs as opposed to brown rice which a whole cup is needed to attain the same. Those of us who eat complex carbs for weightlifting purposes, eating six to seven or more meals a day, know the daunting task of getting enough complex carbs through food without eating cup after cup of bulky brown rice, this is the perfect replacement, in my opinion.

    Roland Quinoa
Very good deal. Half the price per lb. as in the supermarket and free shipping. Can’t beat it!
